  Med Students Halloween

Future Nurses, Doctors Train Together at JABSOM

Students training to become medical doctors and nurses at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa will take part in a collaborative training session on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) campus in Kaka’ako. The session is part of a new joint curriculum begun in September 2011 by JABSOM and the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene (SONDH). University of Hawai‘i President M.R.C. Greenwood has announced the members of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Chancellor Search Advisory Committee. Four of its members have ties to the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).  More »

   

Dr. Hinshaw to move to JABSOM

UH Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw will make the John A. Burns School of Medicine her academic home after she completes her term as Chancellor. Dr. Hinshaw, an epidemiologist and influenza expert, discussed her plans with a reporter from Pacific Business News, on October 28.

Special Announcement

November 9, 2011 9:00 AM

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in conjunction with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct a mandatory test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. This test, the first of its kind, will take place at 9:00 a.m. Hawai`i Standard Time and will run for approximately three minutes across all radio and television stations.  More »
